When conceptualizing was taking place there was new hype about Cyberpunk 2077 because of the tie-in anime that was released. The vaporwave/future aesthetic was on the mind and we try to capitalize on that social interest. At the time, Fractal had just released the Pop cases and with our great business relationship with them we were able to get a case pretty quickly. We wanted to use some vaporwave aesthetics because we felt there was a lot of overlap between vaporwave and the cyberpunk design. I believe the katakana on the glass, the framework city scape on the removable front panel, and the neon light-esque fans are just enough to convey the overall aesthetic while also not overdoing it.

After the first wave of our launch of The Juicebox as a Limited Edition PC, we started to look at the customers comments and focused on a comment requesting a Boba Tea design. With wave two about 4 days away at the time, I began conceptualizing some ideas for the design. The original 10 flavors of The Juicebox line were designed by a different designer before I started so I needed to design something unique while also upholding the same visual style as the original set. We narrowed down the new designs to 3 flavors and color schemes. We wanted to make the colors of the boba line lean more towards a pastel color scheme as opposed to the bright colors of the original set. We also wanted to really lean more into the cute / kawaii design style to add some cute features to the design. Overall the 3 flavors came together within the week and I was very happy to broaden my portfolio with this cute design as I think I naturally lean more towards masculine design.

For the "Spooky" season, we wanted to add a holiday flavor. We thought about ideas such as "Monster Blood" and "Pumpkin Juice" but we ultimately settled on a flavor that fit within the Juicebox line. The original idea was to offer the "Spooky Black Cherry" for a limited time up until Halloween 2022 and once that passed replace it with regular Cherry but due to time that never came to fruition so the Black Cherry flavor became a main stay to the line.
