Bikini Buckaroo was one of those drops where a lot of the products started with a “wouldn’t it be funny if we actually made this?” mentality. The first product I came up with was the poncho, which was heavily inspired by Clint Eastwood’s poncho in A Fistful of Dollars. I wanted it to be an obvious nod to that classic western look, but remixed into something that felt distinctly Gamer Supps. The assless chaps idea came from that same kind of humor. I think actual chaps were originally thrown out half as a joke, so instead I designed sweatpants with contrasting panels that gave them the look of assless chaps while still being something you could realistically wear. My magnum opus of the drop, though, was the Bikini Bronco. People love plushes, and I thought it would be hilarious to make this intentionally dumb-looking little horse complete with its own saddle. I originally wanted it to have bulging ping-pong-style eyes to make it look even more ridiculous, but unfortunately that detail didn’t make it into the final product. We were also interested in experimenting with fidget toys, so the western theme gave us the perfect excuse to customize a revolver-cylinder spinner. Most of the versions I found used the same metal finish for both the cylinder and the removable “bullets,” but I wanted ours to feel a little more like an actual revolver. We kept the cylinder silver and contrasted it with bronze-colored rounds inspired by real ammunition.
