While studying the artwork for Meru's collection, I noticed the red spider lilies in the background and got curious about what they represented. After learning they symbolize themes like death, separation, rebirth, and lost love, the direction of the collection shifted almost immediately. Instead of treating the flowers as a small decorative detail, I wanted them to define the mood of the drop. That naturally led me toward a ghostly aesthetic inspired by modern metalcore apparel, where reverse-dyed spider lilies, distressed graphics, and layered textures became recurring elements throughout the collection. Once that visual language was established, I created a custom metal-inspired logo that carried those same influences, giving the collection a consistent identity across every piece.
